Vulpin Soulshape (Default) and Squirrel/Choofa Crittershape (Default) You can start farming either as soon as you join the Night Fae covenant. You will need to farm separate Soulshapes or Crittershapes for each Night Fae character you have. Soulshapes and Crittershapes are NOT account-wide. You can learn your default Crittershape from Choofa next to Lady Muunn - you can be a squirrel like Choofa! They are obtained the same way, but can only be used inside Rested Areas.
Patch 9.1.5 also introduced Critttershapes, which are small versions of Soulshapes. However, through many different methods from adventuring across the world, you will encounter new Soulshapes and will be able to add these to your choices. The Night Fae ability Soulshape begins in the form of a Vulpin. Lasts 12 sec, or indefinitely while in a rest area. You may reactivate Soulshape every few sec to teleport again. Soulshape: Turn into a Vulpin, teleporting 15 yds forward and increasing your movement speed by 50%. Night Fae Covenant Signature Ability: Soulshape We'll continue to keep you updated on this toy, the quest, and all things that help preserve our wonderful Soulshapes and Crittershapes to all corners of the world. If you're not a Night Fae, you can still use this toy! You'll just turn into the standard Vulpin shape, without access to other Soulshapes. You'll still choose and change your preferred Soulshapes or Crittershapes by going to Lady Muunn or Choofa. After that, you'll be able to access your chosen Soulshape or Crittershape. Seed of Renewed Souls will be available by completing a short quest, Shapes from Beyond the Veil, from Lady Muunn in the Night Fae covenant hall. Currently, this toy has a 10-minute duration with a 5-minute cooldown, but this may change. The good news: there will be a toy you can get that will allow you to transform your appearance into your chosen Soulshape anytime, anywhere! This will be a cosmetic-only effect (no faster running or Flicker), but you will be able to change into your favorite Soulshape all across every land in World of Warcraft. Many of us feared that we'd never see our Soulshapes again. The bad news is that no Covenant abilities will be usable outside Shadowlands once Dragonflight launches.
